Tibet Travel

Tibet, the highest plateau on this planet and in the lap of the mighty Himalayan ranges, has unlimited destinations covering its miraculous and rich heritage possessions. It is the world’s highest country, with an average altitude of well over 3000m, and most of the plateau at over 4000m. Gradually the mighty doors to this fascinating region have swung open, so that explorers and travellers, with their enthusiasm and curiosity, can share the opportunity to experience the lifestyle and culture of the land of Shangri-La in Tibet.

Up on the world’s roof-top there lies a wide stretched land (Shangri-La as some people call it) filled with fascinating and mystifying works of nature and human that has captured the imagination of many great people ever since the world came to know her existence. This is no other than Tibet (presently known as Tibet Autonomous Region). Although apparently she was forbidden for several centuries, great many authentic travelers, scholars and missionaries had attempted to reach this tantalizing land amidst perils and long, long endeavoring journey.

The language is spoken in numerous regional dialects but all are similar to each other only the pronounsation is little different while they speak. Their common language is Tibetan.

For those seeking true adventure Tibet is probably one of the last places on earth where it can be found . Life is hard and the land is arid, but the people are hardy and cheerful , supported by their deep and abiding Buddhist faith. The scenery is magnificient . Huge and ornate Monasteries and Temples bear witness to that faith and the ancient roots of a rich, highly developed culture. Teeming colourful bazaars in Lhasa and holy sites like Mt. Kailash draw pilgrims from every ethnic group and every part of this land and beyond .Vast  empty plains, clear light, breathtaking vistas, colourful people and majestic peaks are all waiting for the true adventures in Tibet.
